Gang Unrest
In 2024, Jamaica faced a continuation of its long-standing struggle with organized crime, particularly in certain urban areas like Kingston.
Violence increased in some communities due to turf wars between rival gangs involved in activities such as drug trafficking and extortion, leading to spikes in shootings and murders. In response, the Jamaican government took strong action by declaring states of emergency in high-crime zones and deploying both police and military forces to restore order.
Heal-Corp was there, and was able to evacuate many people using helicopters and airplanes to get people to safety.
Project Moses
Ryan And Jill Dolan’s family served as missionaries since 2023, running an orphanage to foster and protect Haitian children. They were trapped and in danger when the gang violence was rampant in Haiti.
Heal-Corp’s very own Shane Fierge was there along with a local ex special operations veteran John (not real name) to evacuate them and others to safety through our Project Moses program.
