David Henry

David Henry has been involved in missions, and charity work most of his life.  David’s parents were missionaries working throughout Mexico, Central America and Canada so he grew up learning the processes of helping people and inherently was blessed with a heart dedicated to helping those in need wherever they may be.

David has extensive experience in aviation, beginning in childhood when he travelled to Mexico in his father’s Stinson 108 Voyager. At age 19, he acquired his first aircraft, a Cessna U-206, which he utilized for transporting supplies to Mexico as opportunities permitted.

At age 21, David founded his first company, Ohenry Productions Inc. The business initially focused on installing tents, tables, chairs, and restroom trailers for air shows and art exhibitions throughout the United States.

In 2005, the company transitioned from installation services to the manufacturing of large tents, which are now shipped worldwide. During this period, David owned and operated several aircraft, including two Cessna 206s, a Cessna 310-R, a Cessna 340-A, and three Bonanzas, one of which was a jet-prop A-36 Bonanza. Aviation has been an invaluable resource for David, supporting both his business operations and charitable initiatives.

Beginning in 1990 through 2006 David working with Ohenry Productions and his international contacts was able to complete the following projects worldwide.

✓ 20 churches built in Mexico, Peru, and Romania.
✓ Financed the completion of a hospital in Romania.
✓ Provided wheelchairs to under privileged people in Russia.
✓ Donated many tents to various organizations in the U.S. and Central America.
✓ Installed a water well for the Tanner children’s orphanage in Nicoresti, Romania.
✓ Built an orphanage home in Morelos, Mexico in partnership with Acts Christian Fellowship.
✓ Provided a warming tent for Acts Christian Fellowship church which included meals for the homeless in Waco, Tx.
✓ Worked with his contacts in Laos to provide an Englishlanguage school complete with a library, cafeteria and staff.
✓ David and Ashlie provided funds to build a water well and water storage facility in Sudan for a remote village working with our contacts there.
✓ In 2005 donated, delivered and installed a 60×120 storage tent after hurricane Katrina in Slidell, La.

In 2007 David and his wife purchased an entire city block in downtown Waco and renovated the two large buildings there. One building was transformed into the Phoenix ballroom. The other building became the Waco Outreach Foundation for local residents in Waco.

The Waco Outreach Foundation operated from 2007 until 2014. The building contained the following outreach services completely free.

✓ Coffee shop for students
✓ Pro Bona legal services for immigrants
✓ Auditorium for concerts and theatre
✓ Game room for teenagers
✓ Complete 50’s deco café for serving free meals to local youth ages 10-20 serving up 300-400 free meals weekly
✓ Food Pantry
✓ Commissary
✓ The food pantry and commissary assisted over 3,000 individuals monthly

In 2015 The Waco Outreach Building was sold, and a portion of the funds were given to Calvary Chapel in Waco to facilitate the purchase and renovate a building for their new church location.

In 2017 David, his wife Ashlie, and employees made multiple trips to south Texas after hurricane Harvey delivering tons of food and supplies.

In 2021 David purchased a large food trailer for Calvary Chapel which they use for relief efforts around Texas.

In 2025 David, his wife Ashlie and their team delivered hundreds of pounds of meat and various supplies to Kerrville, Tx. over two weekends. They then returned to cook meals for two weekends in Comfort and Kerrville, providing meals for the Heal-Corp volunteers, American Core Team, first responders and local residents.

In 2025 David and Ashlie formed Hands of Hope Disaster Relief Inc. They purchased a food trailer to be able to provide meals more efficiently. They also outfitted a trailer with multiple freezers to enable them to transport hundreds of pounds of meat.

David and Ashlie are eagerly preparing for their next deployment!
